Debbie
Macomber wrote A Walk Along the Beach
in honor of her dearest friend who died of cancer. It tells the story
of two sisters, one diagnosed with cancer, the other fighting
alongside her. The book demonstrates appreciation for The American
Cancer Society and the physicians who battle this cruel disease. The
topic is an emotional one, and the book both difficult and
therapeutic. It wasn't written for the reader wishing to escape
reality, but for the one who wants to walk hand in hand with those
facing the beast.
I
am grateful to have received a copy of this book from Ballantine
Books via NetGalley in exchange for my honest opinion. I was under no
obligation to provide a positive review, and received no monetary
compensation.
