Author, and former St. Louis police officer, Erin Delaney moved to the small town of Sanctuary located in the Smoky Mountains seeking a more peaceful existence. She had her border collie, Chester, with her and they had been befriended by the local police chief, Adrien Nightengale and his golden retriever, Jake. After Erin was called to Fredericksburg, Virginia to assist in an investigation into a serial killer, strange things began to happen back in Sanctuary. Was there a connection? Was Erin being targeted, or were the events circumstantial? Readers will enjoy following Erin's investigation along with her friends Kaely and Noah in Virginia and Adrian's miles away.

Nancy Mehl has once again given readers a spine tingling serial killer thriller that surprisingly leads to deep spiritual insights: insights into life after death, into the freedom of living without a spirit of fear, and into the light God brings into our lives when we accept His gift of grace. Cold Pursuit by Nancy Mehl - A Book Review

  

Every time I read a serial killer book, I promise myself that I'll never read another one. Then Nancy Mehl, Lynette Eason, or another similarly gifted author will come out with a book that lures me into breaking that promise. As I read Cold Pursuit I kept asking why I always do this to myself, but when I got to the final chapter and took in the lesson that Mehl so deftly pulled together, I knew why. I do it because Mehl and other Christian authors are not focusing on just the emotions evoked by thriller type books, but on the hope God can offer even within the context of extreme tragedy. Isn't that what we are all called to do, to give a reason for our hope? In this book Mehl focuses on personal responsibility. We are personally responsible for our own choices, not the choices of others, and for seeing to the health of our relationship with God in order that we may give the reason for our hope, and share the love, grace, and mercy or our heavenly Father. The author works through some intense suspense, carefully placed information, tension between characters, and deep emotions to bring this theme to light. She does this very well.

Dead End by Nancy Mehl - A Book Review

  

My best advice is to be prayed up before you start reading this book. The message is much needed, but the content of spiritual warfare by nature includes the reality of pure evil. Those who enjoy psychological thrillers will be fans of this latest offering by Nancy Mehl,as they will the entire Kaely Quinn Profiler series. Readers can feel the tension of the battles between good and evil, a battle that Kaely is in the midst of throughout the series. Many readers will feel as though they battle alongside her.

Fire Storm by Nancy Mehl - A Book Review

    

FBI Agent Kaely Quinn prefers the title of Behavioral Analyst over Profiler. She is an expert at reading people and has a very unique method for piecing together data to identify UNSUBs. Kaely's partner, Noah Hunter, accepts her unorthodox methods, but not her propensity for putting her work before anything, including her own safety.

In Fire Storm, the second book in Mehl's Kaely Quinn Profiler series, Kaely picks up a newspaper as she draws close to her destination of Darkwater, Nebraska immediately recognizing the possible presence of a serial arsonist in the small town where her mother lives. Although she has come to relieve her brother in care-giving for their mother, Kaely ends up embroiled in not one but two cases as Noah joins her to offer his assistance. Fragile family relationships are stretched as is her relationship with Noah as Kaely once again throws her whole being into finding the bad guys.

Mind Games by Nancy Mehl - A Book Review

  

This is the most intense book that I have read in a very long time. Finally in chapter twenty-four I flipped to the back and set my mind at ease so that I could enjoy the rest of the book. Mehl included so many feasible suspects, some the reader would truly not want to be the guilty one. If you have something important to accomplish, you may want to wait to begin reading this book because you are likely to be consumed with it.

Kaely Quinn's father was convicted as a serial killer when she was a child. Kaely,now grown up, is an FBI agent who specializes in profiling. Now there is a serial killer targeting people associated with her, even if indirectly. His end game is to cause Kaely's suicide. While she is allowed to remain on the case, Kaely has difficulty trusting those around her; that and her unorthodox profiling methods complicate matters.
